
The Mexican health system requires an agency to support the legal actions that are implemented, such as legal support for the implementation of programs that must be observed by the health authorities at all levels. This organism is called General Health Council, and in this paper the role of this Council within the Ministry of Health, and its role in transforming our health system are described.
