Recepcija dela Sime Matavulja u Italiji

Abstract

Nell'articolo è esaminata la ricezione dell'opera di S. Matavulj partendo dal punto di vista del contesto culturale del ricettore (l'interesse per la letteratura serba, per i suoi tratti orientali, tradizionali, patriarcali) ma anche per le particolarità tematiche e narrative dell'entroterra dalmata e dell'autore "più europeo" e "italiano" tra i realisti serbi. Vengono analizzate le traduzioni (Griffini, Desnica, Cronia, Nikolich, Meloncelli) pubblicate su riviste e in antologie curate dai migliori slavisti italiani del tempo (Cronia, Graciotti) e offerto un esame accurato cone sempi. Altre forme di ricezione si limitano a un numero rilevante di testi diversi fra di loro (una tesi di laurea, articoli informativi, voci di enciclopedie, contributi nelle storie di letteratura ecc.). L'immagine del realista risulta stereotipata, spesso non aggiornata e di carattere ripetitivo.L'analisi critica dei testi presi in esame permette di arrivare alla conclusione che la ricezione di Matavulj in Italia può essere giudicata altalenantge, simile a quella di altri realisti serbi, legata all'impegno dei singoli che si rivelano l'anello più importante nella presentazione di un autore o di una letteratura straniera nel contesto culturale italiano.
