Heidegger e il Neoplatonismo

Abstract

L’articolo prende in considerazione soprattutto i due corsi accademici di Heidegger sulle lettere ai Tessalonicesi di Paolo e sul libro X delle Confessioni di Agostino. A caratterizzare il cristianesimo primitivo rispetto alla vita greca è, secondo Heidegger, il modo d’intendere la «tentazione»: la vita non è una cosa da realizzare, ma un procedere secondo un senso entro il mondo. Se la voluptaria cupiditas trasforma bisogni corporali in piaceri che possono poi anche nuocere al corpo, questo stesso transitus dalla cosa al senso determina la formalizzazione in cui consiste l’esperienza cristiana della vita. È un residuo greco, invece, che contrasta con il « senso di attuazione », l’aspirazione alla conoscenza di Dio. La tendenza greca all’assiomatizzazione intende l’essere a partire dall’ente, mentre la continentia cristiana coglie il mondo come dispersione a partire dal Sé.
