Abstract

Il contributo propone l'analisi dei racconti "O Aquário" e "Trepadeira Submersa" rispettivamente di Maria Judite de Carvalho e David Mourão-Ferreira, presenti nei volumi di M. J. de Carvalho, Flores ao Telefone (1960) e di D. Mourão-Ferreira, Os Amantes e Outros Contos (1992). Lo studio qui presentato si pone come obiettivo, ravvicinato e circoscritto nei due racconti selezionati, analizzare la presenza dell'elemento liquido attraverso la funzione dell'oggetto-acquario, vero e proprio, per usare una definizione di T. S. Eliot, 'correlativo oggettivo' dell'universo intimo femminile, dove si rovesciano, seppur in modalità diverse, le fantasie represse delle protagoniste.
