Cyberbullismo: dal fenomeno sociale alle prospettive di intervento.

Abstract

Le narrazioni giornalistiche sui giovani, troppo spesso intrise di sensazionalismo e non scevre da tentazioni semplificatorie, tendono a collocare al centro della scena casi estremi: dagli episodi di suicidio che coinvolgono ragazzi, vittime delle pressioni psicologiche dei compagni (il cosiddetto cyberbullicide), sino alle stragi (che richiamano quella, più famosa, avvenuta negli Stati Uniti a Littleton in Colorado il 20 aprile del 1999 alla Columbine High School) annunciate in Rete e poi compiute nella vita reale. Tanti di questi episodi, proprio come era accaduto qualche anno fa in occasione dell’“esplosione” mediatica del fenomeno del bullismo, finiscono per essere inclusi nel frame interpretativo del “cyberbullismo”, con un crescente rischio di omologazione e di appiattimento di letture che spesso si riferiscono a fenomeni radicalmente diversi.
