Abstract

Il Lessico critico petrarchesco intende accompagnare studenti e lettori alla scoperta dei nuclei fondamentali della riflessione e dell'opera poetica del padre dell'umanesimo. Articolata in venticinque lemmi significativi, ciascuno affidato ai più noti specialisti internazionali di Petrarca, l'opera ha l'ambizione di rinnovare in Italia la tradizione angloamericana dei Companions, piccole enciclopedie dedicate a singoli autori che costituiscono da sempre un supporto indispensabile per studenti e docenti. In specie, la voce "Morte" articola le ricorrenze del tema tra le opere di Petrarca, ovvero tra le Epystole latine, il Secretum, le Familiares, il De remediis utriusque fortune, e infine i Rerum vulgarium fragmenta, per decrittare le intersezioni tra letture, filosofia ed esperienza che rendono tanto ampia, articolata e profonda la riflessione petrarchesca sulla morte.
