Dispersione sportiva in Liguria

Abstract

L’articolo rende conto di un monitoraggio svolto nell’anno scolastico 2009/2010 attraverso la somministrazione di un questionario effettuato su 1275 adolescenti di anni 14 (664 maschi, 52,08% e 611 femmine, 47,92%) della popolazione scolastica delle province liguri di Genova, La Spezia e Savona. In base alle risposte fornite sono stati individuati quattro gruppi: praticanti attività motoria, praticanti sport, non praticanti, praticanti sia sport sia attività motoria. Il gruppo più rappresentato è quello costituito da soggetti che praticano sia sport sia attività motoria. Dallo studio emerge che le famiglie incentivano i propri figli a fare sport e, se i genitori sono sportivi o ex sportivi, le figure genitoriali sembrano rappresentare elemento di motivazione per far praticare sport ai ragazzi. Buono il rapporto interpersonale con l’allenatore. Gli intervistati dichiarano di svolgere sport o attività motoria per fini salutistici e di socializzazione. I soggetti praticanti sport abbandonano in misura minore rispetto ai praticanti attività motoria, con una forbice di circa il 20%.
