Conservare Austropotamobius pallipes (Crustacea Decapoda Astacidae): requisiti dell'habitat

Abstract

Le popolazioni del gambero autoctono Austropotamobius pallipes hanno subito una forte riduzione in tutta Europa. Pertanto sono stati campionati 98 siti in Piemonte ed acquisiti i dati relativi alla chimica delle acque. Per ciascun parametro, l’assunto di una distribuzione normale dei dati è stato verificato utilizzando il test di Kolmogorov-Smirnov ed è stata valutata l’eventuale esistenza di differenze statisticamente significative tra siti di “presenza” e di “assenza”. La regressione logistica restituisce i migliori risultati di classificazione con 3 sole variabili: BOD5, SO42-, e Ca2+. Complessivamente il 74,5% dei siti investigati viene classificato correttamente. Il parametro più importante risulta essere BOD5. Pertanto, una drastica riduzione di tutte le attività antropiche che causano un incremento della materia organica disciolta e del particellato fine è necessaria per la conservazione della specie.
