Oryctolagus cuniculus and the tricksters

Abstract

Oryctolagus cuniculus, le lapin européen est un animal surprenant. De nature casanière, on le retrouve pourtant dans presque toutes les régions du monde, mélangeant de façon obstinée différentes modalités d’existence, sauvage et domestique, suivant des trajectoires imprévues dans lesquelles il est à la fois héros et victime. Ses différentes manières d’« être en vie » interrogent nos propres manières (humaines) de « voir la vie ». Le lapin endosse la figure d’un trickster, c’est un « joueur de tours » qui ne pose pas de règles et n’en suit lui-même aucune. Que pouvons-nous apprendre ?
