Corticoterapia sistémica e inhalada

Abstract

Glucocorticoids are very effective anti-inflammatory and immunosuppressive drugs and are frequently used in the equine clinic. The knowledge of its mechanism of action and its effects on the organism can certainly allow us to use this family of drugs, historically controversial, more rationally and less risky. This text reviews systemic and inhaled corticosteroids, as well as their medical indications. It also gives some tips and precautions to keep in mind to optimize its use in equine practice. equine
