Baudelaire: el jovial mistificador de la prensa literaria y artística

Abstract

Cet article trace la position du jeune Baudelaire des années 1840 afin de démontrer comment le poète a capitalisé la scène d’énonciation de la petite presse pour forger une esthétique, un personnage et un projet de singularisation. D’abord, une esthétique du rire et la polyphonie visant un effet de choc chez le lecteur ; ensuite, un personnage qui le hantera toute sa vie, à savoir ce dandy irrévérencieux et provocateur, ce comédien toujours prêt à déconcerter, par ses ambigüités et par ses mystifications, tantôt le bourgeois tantôt ses propres pairs, si ce n’est les deux à la fois ; enfin, un projet de singularisation qui passe, dans ses premières années, par la mise en évidence des poncifs romantiques, notamment en ce qui concerne les topos de la pauvreté auctoriale, de l’inspiration, du désintéressement et du désordre associé au génie, mais qui se prolongera plus tard, sous un ton plus amer et plus noir, par une critique de l’hypocrisie bourgeoise et de sa prétentieuse croyance selon laquelle le progrès matériel et scientifique favoriserait le progrès moral de l’homme.
