The most important drugs registered and/or launched in Belgium during the last year in the various disciplines of internal medicine will be briefly described. The main characteristics of each molecule and its modalities of appropriate use in clinical practice will be emphasized. For all these molecules, both the efficacy and tolerance have been proven in randomised clinical trials according to the rules of Evidence-Based Medicine.
