Abstract

To study the chemical consituents of Peganum multisectum. The compounds were isolated by chromatographic methods and their structures were elucidated by physicochemical properties and spectral analysis.Six alkaloids were isolated and identifiedas deoxyvasicinone (1), l-vasicinone (2), harmine (3), vasicine (4), evodiamin (5), and fagomine (6).Compounds 5 and 6 are isolated from this genus for the first time.
