Situación del mantenimiento industrial en las empresas de Costa Rica

Abstract

El presente documento incluye los resultados de la investigación realizada, que tiene como objetivo general conocer la situación de la función de mantenimiento, en las empresas de Costa Rica. El estudio se concentró en empresas del sector de manufactura de la región metropolitana de nuestro país, con más de cien empleados y que cuenten con un departamento de mantenimiento formal. A fin de garantizar la confiabilidad de la información y la efectividad de su entrega, para la recolección de los datos, se realizaron visitas a cada empresa y se entrevistó a las personas responsables de gestionar el mantenimiento. Los resultados de este estudio evidencian que la gestión del mantenimiento en Costa Rica está bien posicionada dentro de la industria, a pesar de que se evidencian múltiples oportunidades de mejora. El estudio está estructurado en seis ejes de diagnóstico y para cada uno de ellos se presentan los gráficos que muestran las evidencias que reflejan fortalezas y oportunidades de mejora en la industria bajo estudio.
