Abstract

Se hace énfasis en la necesidad del uso correcto de los nombres científicos de especiesarbóreas de uso forestal en Costa Rica. Se presenta un listado por nombre científico y seindican los nombres comunes con los que se conoce. El listado incluye 108 familiasbotánicas, 680 especies arbóreas que incluyen el género y la especie, 20 especies queincluyen sólo género y 2061 nombres comunes reportados en la literatura.
