Arrecifes artificiales

Abstract

Los arrecifes artificiales son estructuras sólidas que pueden introducirse en un medio marino poco productivo para mejorar el aprovechamiento de los recursos por unidad de área. Existen diversos materiales para construir arrecifes artificiales. De éstos, las llantas usadas representan una de las mejores opciones por ser fáciles de conseguir y de manipular en el agua. El uso de arrecifes artificiales en el manejo de zonas marinas someras puede proporcionar beneficios tanto a la empresa turística-activifdades subacuáticas, pesca deportiva- como el manejo de pesquerías comerciales.
