[Abstract] "Sirens'' is a narrative music video for the song "Even Sirens Drown" by WetSocks, employing 2D frame-by-frame animation as its technique. It revolves around Nori, the main character, as she confronts a dangerous siren that personifies her Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD). This sets off an intense internal struggle, exacerbated by the havoc the siren wrecks on her romantic relationship with Nobu, her bandmate. This creates a tremendous conflict in the protagonist's mind, torn between wanting to distance herself to save Nobu, and the relentless siren, hungry for more. This analysis will describe intricate detail about the conceptual, narrative, and artistic development of the project, as well as the workflow employed in its realization.
