A escola dramática galega (1978-1994) e o sistema literario

Abstract

[Abstract] During the 16 years of its existence, the Galician Drama School achieved a depth and diversity in the area of theatrical activity, and, by extension, in that of the literary world that encompassed it, unequalled by any other group. Its area of influence was not limited to Corunna, and reached a considerable number of Galician cities and towns; the GDS was present in most of the dramatic activity that went on during this period. The article evaluates the influence of the GDS on Galician literature, using a Polysystem Theory approach. It reviews the thematic and stylistic repertory of the Corunna group in terms of production and distribution, whether in publishing–105 issues of Cadernosand five of the Boletín de Información Teatral–, or other activities such as the launching of books or the organization of lectures and conferences.
