Abstract

[Abstract]: The following work aims to design a rehabilitation programme for a grade III medial collateral ligament (MCL) tear of the knee in an amateur football player. In order to develop the programme, it has been necessary to carry out a bibliographic search, compiling information from books and articles uploaded on the internet. For the development of the work, football has been contextualised, as well as its injury epidemiology and the knee joint has been described, paying special attention to MCL, its epidemiology, recovery and treatment. Subsequently, based on everything described above, a sports rehabilitation programme has been developed, divided into 3 phases with their corresponding stages, which aims to return the athlete to competition as soon as possible and in the best conditions.
