Turismo comunitario en Ecuador: experiencias locales hacia el desarrollo local a escala humana

Abstract

[Resumen] El turismo comunitario (TC) conceptualmente sigue alimentándose de varios aportes de investigación realizados tanto de corte nacional como internacional. Cuyo interés por estudiarlo es fuerte debido a que representa un modelo de gestión social empresarial, con la finalidad de generar impactos positivos y distribuirlos entre todos los miembros de la comunidad, lo que lleva evidentemente a un pleno desarrollo local. El objetivo de este estudio es comprender la práctica del turismo comunitario en Ecuador, estudiando experiencias locales hacia el desarrollo local a escala humana, mediante una revisión bibliográfica extensa de documentos científicos publicados en las últimas décadas, se confirma que el TC es una de las herramientas que permite mejorar las condiciones socioeconómicas de las comunidades locales asentadas en las zonas rurales vulnerables, dando importancia a los aspectos que tienen que ver con la historia propia de cada lugar, de modo que la cultura local y lo étnico adquieren una notable consideración.
