De Amor a Umbral. Reflexión artística y sujeto femenino en Juan Emar

Abstract

[Resumen] Amor (1923-1925) y Umbral (1940-1964) son dos obras del escritor chileno Juan Emar (1893-1964) que, pese a todas sus diferencias (tiempo dedicado a la escritura, extensión y momento de redacción), comparten dos elementos fundamentales: la reflexión del narrador acerca de la creación y la presencia de un sujeto femenino que es impulso y motivo de la escritura. En este trabajo profundizamos en estos dos asuntos estableciendo las correlaciones entre ambas obras para demostrar que nos encontramos ante un único proyecto artístico y vital mucho más amplio que lo que recogen los textos y que se atisba en los trabajos más tempranos e inéditos para eclosionar en los más ambiciosos y maduros. Para demostrar esto, nos basaremos en el análisis de las fuentes primarias, en la poética del autor y en los conceptos de intertextualidad y reescritura
