Abstract

[Resumen] Francisco Giner, la Institución Libre de Enseñanza como su obra principal y otras experiencias que surgieron de su tronco vertebrador siguen alimentando trabajos de investigación, exposiciones, jornadas y diversa literatura científica siglo y medio después de su fundación. Una prueba de ello es el trabajo que aquí comentamos que, como indican sus autores, ocupa básicamente tres grandes apartados alrededor de esta figura: la llegada del krausismo a España a través de Julián Sanz del Río, el nacimiento de la Institución Libre de Enseñanza en torno a Francisco Giner de los Ríos y sus más inmediatos colaboradores, y las diversas realizaciones educativas de los institucionistas.
