[Abstract] In this project, the study of the behavior of a bolted joint will be carried out, which consists of a column and two beams of different depths with gussets until the edges are equal. The study will be carried out with the help of the Abaqus software using the finite element method. The moment of rotation curve of the joint will be extracted and each connection will be classified according to its stiffness and resistance. It will be compared how the symmetry or asymmetry of these loads affect the characteristics of the joint and later these results will be compared with a model of a more rigid joint.
