Abstract

[Resumen]: Los compuestos organometálicos de paladio constituyen un interesante campo de investigación gracias a sus varias propiedades. Desde los años 70, los compuestos ciclometalados muestran un amplio rango de aplicaciones que van desde el campo médico, como medicamento contra el cáncer, al de la fotoquímica. Además, este tipo de compuestos han sido empleados tradicionalmente como catalizadores. La intención del presente trabajo es sintetizar y estudiar bases de Schiff tridentadas, funcionalizadas con grupos nitro o sulfonato, y a partir de ellas, obtener compuestos ciclometalados de paladio y presentar un breve marco teórico sobre el tema. En primer lugar, mediante una reacción de condensación entre un aldehído, el 2,4-dimetoxibenzaldehído, y una amina, 2-amino-4-nitrofenol, 2-amino-4- (etilsulfonil)fenol y 2-amino-5-nitrofenol; se obtuvieron tres ligandos tridentados [C,N,O]. Por reacción de estos ligandos en tolueno con acetato de paladio (II) se obtuvieron los correspondientes compuestos ciclometalados. La determinación estructural de los compuestos obtenidos fue llevada a cabo mediante Resonancia Magnética Nuclear de 1H.

[Abstract]: Palladium organometallic compounds constitute an interesting field of research thanks to their various properties. Since the 70’s, palladium cyclometallated compounds show a wide range of applications which go from the medical field, as an anticancer drug, to the photochemistry. Also, this kind of compounds have being used as catalysts traditionally. The present work’s aim is to synthesize and study three different functionalized tridentate Schiff with nitro and sulphonate groups, and from them, to obtain palladium cyclometallated tetramer and presenting a light theoretical framework about the topic. In first place, through a condensation reaction between one aldehyde, 2,4- dimethoxybenzaldehyde, and an amine, 2-amino-4-nitrophenol, 2-amino-4- (ethylsulfonyl)phenol and 2-amino-5-nitrophenol; three [C,N,O] terdentate ligands were obtained. By the reaction of these ligands in toluene with palladium (II) acetate, the corresponding cyclometallated ligands were obtained. The structural determination of each of the synthesized compounds is carried out by Nuclear Magnetic Resonance of 1H.

Ademais, este tipo de compostos foron empregados tradicionalmente como catalizadores. A intención do presente traballo é sintetizar e estudar tres bases de Schiff tridentadas funcionalizadas con grupos nitro o sulfonato, e a partir delas, obter compostos ciclometalados de paladio e presentar un breve marco teórico sobre o tema. En primeiro lugar, mediante una reacción de condensación entre un aldehído, o 2,4-dimetoxibenzaldehído, e una amina, 2-amino-4-nitrofenol, 2-amino-4- (etilsulfonil)fenol e 2-amino-5-nitrofenol; obtivéronse tres ligandos tridentados [C,N,O].
