[Resumen]: El objetivo principal de este trabajo es profundizar en el estudio del comportamiento del mercado de criptomonedas a partir de dos variables clave para la inversión: la rentabilidad y el riesgo. Para ello, en primer lugar, se presentan los conceptos y puntos de interés más importantes vinculados a este mercado, para continuar con las criptomonedas que serán objeto de estudio. Posteriormente, se llevan a cabo cuatro tipos de análisis con datos del período 2016-2019: uno descriptivo de la rentabilidad y el riesgo de estas, otro de correlación a nivel de índices, un tercero sobre la posible validez en el contexto de las criptomonedas de la relación rentabilidad esperada-riesgo que propone el modelo CAPM, y un cuarto sobre evaluación de performance de la inversión en criptomonedas a través de la medida de su rentabilidad ajustada por riesgo. El trabajo finaliza con las conclusiones derivadas del estudio realizado.

[Abstract]: The main objective of this work is to deepen the study of the behavior of the cryptocurrency market based on two key variables for investment: profitability and risk. To do this, first, we present the most important concepts and points of interest linked to this market, to continue with the cryptocurrencies that will be the subject of study. Subsequently, four types of analysis are carried out with data from the period 2016-2019: one descriptive of the profitability and risk of these, another of correlation at the level of indices, a third party on the possible validity in the context of cryptocurrencies of the expected return-to-risk ratio proposed by the CAPM model, and a fourth on the performance evaluation of cryptocurrency investment through the measurement of its risk-adjusted return. The work ends with the conclusions derived from the study.
