Abstract

[Abstract]: The proposed project has as main objective the evaluation of the antibiotic activity of hiroalcholic extracts obtained from three vegetal species of traditional medical use (Pseudoscleropodium purum, Cladonia arbuscula and Cytisus scoparius) in cultures of Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus aureus. Moreover, the proposal raises the evaluation of the possible synergistic activity of the extracts in combination with habitual clinical use antibiotics against infections caused by this bacterial species. With the purpose of obtaining information about the composition of the extracts, it is proposed to perform a preliminary analysis of these through HPLC-DAD-MS.
