Revisión bibliográfica: microbioma humano e relación co sistema inmunolóxico e neurolóxico

Abstract

[Abstract]: This dissertation is a bibliographic review of the human microbiome, a topic that has been on the rise in recent years, and which is gaining great importance due to the lack of knowledge about it, and its influence on different aspects of our health. In this essay, the focus is on the intestinal microbiome, and how it influences the correct development of the immune and neurological systems, treating how alterations in it can cause suffering from the diseases related to them. With reference to the immune system, the focus is on how the microbiome acts to strengthen the immune system, with functions such as antigen recognition and production of secondary metabolites that help our defenses, among others. Regarding the neurological system the relationship of the microbiome with the brain it’s showed, and its influence on it, focusing on how this relationship can cause or prevent the ailment of certain neurodegenerative diseases, paying special attention to Alzheimer's.
