Abstract

[Resumen]: Esta memoria tiene como finalidad la determinación de la composición iónica (Cl-, NO3-, SO42-, NH4+, K+, Na+, Ca2+, Mg2+) del material particulado atmosférico con diámetro inferior a 10 μm (PM10) recogido en filtros de fibra de cuarzo. El estudio fue realizado en el área urbana de la ciudad de A Coruña (zona del puerto de San Diego), municipio del Noroeste de España que presenta un clima oceánico meridional. Se llevó a cabo una extracción acuosa de los filtros seleccionados en el entorno de muestreo para obtener el extracto sobre el que se aplicó la técnica analítica de Electroforesis Capilar (CE). Esta técnica se basa en las diferentes velocidades de migración que experimentan las especies en presencia de un campo eléctrico. La detección se llevó a cabo a través de un detector de conductividad. La principal ventaja de la técnica electroforética es que permite una buena separación de las diferentes especies con tiempos de análisis reducidos y niveles de utilización de reactivos y generación de residuos bajos. Se estudiaron las características analíticas del método: rango lineal, límites de detección y cuantificación, y precisión. El método propuesto se aplicó sobre 70 muestras tomadas a lo largo del año 2017, durante el cual se detectaron variaciones en las concentraciones de los diferentes iones entorno a los siguientes intervalos: Cl- (10209,63-0,15 ng/m3), NO3- (102797,25-196,34 ng/m3), SO42- (15274,95-538,99 ng/m3), NH4+ (8583,49-0,17 ng/m3), K+ (952,67-14,85 ng /m3), Na+ (10552,13-145,48 ng/m3), Ca2+ (1340,09-7,49 ng/m3) y Mg2+ (503,49-0,081 ng/m3). Por último, se realizó un estudio de las fuentes de emisión para los iones citados mediante un estudio estadístico a través de análisis univariante, análisis de componentes principales y análisis de clúster.

[Resumo]: O obxectivo desta memoria é determinar a composición iónica (Cl-, NO3-, SO42-, NH4+, K+, Na+, Ca2+, Mg2+) do material particulado da atmosfera cun diámetro menor que 10 μm (PM10) recollido en filtros de fibra. cuarzo O estudo realizouse na zona urbana da cidade da Coruña (zona do porto de San Diego), municipio do noroeste de España que presenta un clima oceánico meridional. Realizouse unha extracción acuosa dos filtros seleccionados no ámbito de mostraxe para obter o extracto sobre o que se aplicou a técnica analítica de electroforese capilar (CE). Esta técnica permite a separación das distintas especies en función das diferentes velocidades de migración experimentadas polas especies en presencia dun campo eléctrico. A detección realizouse a través dun detector de condutividade. A principal vantaxe da técnica electroforética é que permite a obtención de boas separacións das diferentes especies con tempos reducidos e con unha utilización de reactivos e xeración de residuos moi baixa. Estudáronse as características analíticas do método: rango lineal, límites de detección e cuantificación, e precisión. O método proposto aplicouse a 70 mostras tomadas durante o ano 2017 durante as que se detectaron variacións nas concentracións dos diferentes ións ao redor dos seguintes intervalos: Cl- (10209,63-0,15 ng/m3), NO3- (102797,25-196,34 ng/m3), SO42- (15274,95-538,99 ng/m3), NH4+ (8583,49-0,17 ng/m3), K+ (952,67-14,85 ng /m3), Na+ (10552,13-145,48 ng/m3), Ca2+ (1340,09-7,49 ng/m3) y Mg2+ (503,49-0,081 ng/m3). Finalmente, realizouse un estudo das fontes de emisión dos ións mencionados a través dun estudo estatístico mediante análise univariante, análise de compoñentes principais e análise de clúster.

[Abstract]: The purpose of this research is the determination of the ionic composition (Cl-, NO3-, SO42-, NH4+, K+, Na+, Ca2+, Mg2+) of the atmospheric particulate material with a diameter smaller than 10 μm (PM10) collected in quartz fiber filters. The study was conducted in the urban area of the city of A Coruña (port of San Diego, Northwest of Spain). Climate of zone is oceanic. An aqueous extraction of the selected filters was carried out to obtain the extract on which the analytical technique of capillary electrophoresis (CE) was applied. This technique allows the separation through the difference in migration rates of different species in the presence of an electric field. The detection was carried out through a conductivity detector. The main advantage of the electrophoretic technique is that it allows good separations with low analysis times and low usage of reagents or generation of waste. The analytical characteristics of the method were studied: lineal range, limits of detection and quantification, and precision. The procedure was applied on 70 samples collected during the year 2017. Ionic concentration were varied into following intervals: Cl- (10209,63-0,15 ng/m3), NO3- (102797,25-196,34 ng/m3), SO42- (15274,95-538,99 ng/m3), NH4+ (8583,49-0,17 ng/m3), K+ (952,67-14,85 ng /m3), Na+ (10552,13-145,48 ng/m3), Ca2+ (1340,09-7,49 ng/m3) and Mg2+ (503,49-0,081 ng/m3). Finally, the sources of major ions were studied through a statistical analysis: univariate analysis, principal components and cluster.
