Abstract

[Abstract]: Within the following Bachelor thesis, the aim is to evaluate the modification of the properties of the martensitic stainless steel AISI 431 as a function of the thermal treatment temperature to which it is submitted. For this purpose, 5 different tempering temperatures have been chosen where, together with the as supplied metal and the only quenched metal. Hardness and wear tests have been carried out on them. A metallographic analysis of each of the samples has also been carried out.
