Abstract

[Resumo] Despois de rematar os seus estudos en Madrid, Andrés Fernández Albalat Lois regresou á súa cidade, A Coruña, para exercer como arquitecto, converténdose coa súa obra nun dos renovadores da arquitectura do lugar. Das súas tres primeiras obras emblemáticas a fábrica Coca Cola-Begano (1963-67), o concesionario da Seat (1964) e a Sociedad Recreativa Hípica de A Coruña (1966-67), este traballo analizará a última atendendo á súa forma de xeración baseada na xeometría e na tecnoloxía, as cales condicionan a forma resultante para atender a unha función específica. Con este traballopreténdese recuperar a memoria dunha obra maltratada polo paso dos anos e polo descoido dos seus habitantes.

[Resumen] Después de acabar sus estudios en Madrid, Andrés Fernández Albalat Lois volvió a su ciudad, A Coruña, a ejercer como arquitecto convirtiéndose con su obra en uno de los renovadores de la arquitectura del lugar. De sus tres primeras obras emblemáticas la fábrica Coca Cola-Begano (1963-67), el concesionario la SEAT (1964) y la Sociedad Recreativa Hípica de A Coruña (1966-67), este trabajo analizará la última atendiendo a su método de generación basado en la geometría y la tecnología, las cuales condicionan la forma resultante para atender a una función específica. Con este trabajo se pretende recuperar la memoria de una obra maltratada por el paso de los años.

[Abstract] After finishing his studies in Madrid, Andres Fernandez Albalat Lois returned to his native city, A Coruña, to practice as an architect becoming one of the architecture’s renovators of the city with his work. In his first three emblematic works, Coca - Cola Begano’s factory(1963-1967) ,SEAT’s concessionaire (1964 ) and Recreational Riding Society of A Coruña (1966-1967), this work tries to analyse the last one according to his generation method based on geometry and technology which determine the resulting shape to answer to a specific function. This paper aims to recover the memory of a battered by the passing years.
