Abstract

[Resumen] Introducción:el Síndrome de Cautiverio es una patología cuyo nombre hace referencia a un grupo de alteraciones funcionales, de diversa etiología, las cuales provocan que un cerebro funcional, se vea encerrado en un cuerpo prácticamente privado de cualquier movimiento voluntario. En este trabajo se describe el caso de un hombre de 74 años afectado por este síndrome. Objetivo: describir un caso clínico real de Síndrome de Cautiverio y su abordaje en una residencia de ancianos. Metodología: se realiza recogida de datos de la historia clínica y entrevistas diseñadas “ad hoc”, previa obtención del consentimiento informado y escrito de su tutor legal. A continuación se valoran los problemas de salud y se procede al diagnóstico enfermero desarrollando los diagnósticos principales. Se diseña y ejecuta el plan de atención. Posteriormente se evalúa y se establecen las conclusiones. Limitaciones: las dificultades de comunicación a causa del proceso patológico dificultan la valoración y la evaluación. Aportaciones: iniciativas como la de este proyecto podrían suponer una mejora de la atención de enfermería y del bienestar, tanto de las personas que sufren esta patología, como de sus familiares.

[Resumo] Introdución: a Síndrome de Cativerio é una patoloxía cuxo nome fai referencia a un grupo de alteracións funcionais, de diversa etioloxía, as cales provocan que un cerebro funcional, se vexa encerrado nun corpo practicamente privado de calquera movemento voluntario. Neste traballo descríbese o caso dun home de 74 anos afectado por este síndrome. Obxectivo: describir un caso clínico real de Síndrome de Cativerio e a súa abordaxe nunha residencia de anciáns. Metodoloxía: realízase recollida de datos da historia clínica e entrevistas deseñadas "ad hoc", logo da obtención do consentimento informado e escrito do seu titor legal. A continuación valóranse os problemas de saúde e procédese ao diagnóstico enfermeiro desenvolvendo os diagnósticos principais. Deséñase e executase o plan de atención. Posteriormente avalíase e establécense as conclusións. Limitacións: as dificultades de comunicación pólo propio proceso patolóxico dificultan a valoración e a avaliación. Achegas: iniciativas como a deste proxecto poderían supoñer unha mellora da atención de enfermaría e do benestar, tanto das persoas que sofren esta patoloxía, coma da sua família.

[Abstract] Introduction: TheLocked-in Syndrome is a disease whose name refers to a group of functional disorders of diverse etiology causing a functional brain to be locked in a body deprived of any voluntary movement. In this essay, the case of a 74 year old man affected by this syndrome is described. Objective: To describe a Locked-in syndrome real case and its management in a nursing home. Methodology: Data collection is acquired from the past medical history and interviews designed "ad hoc", after obtaining written informed consent of their legal guardian. Then health problems are valued and we proceed to develop the nursing diagnosis and the main diagnosis. We design and implement the plan of care. Subsequently, evaluated and conclusions are established. Limitations: Communication difficulties due to the disease process drag out the process of assessment and evaluation. Contributions: initiatives like this project could result in improved retention of nursing and well-being of both people suffering from this disease, and their families.
