Abstract

En este trabajo de fin de grado se realizó un estudio neuroanatómico en Danio rerio con el fin de conocer el circuito implicado en la integración de la información sensorial del techo óptico y del cerebelo mediante la aplicación de los trazadores neuronales DiI y DiO. De este modo se pudieron conocer las aferencias y eferencias del techo óptico y de las distintas partes que componen el cerebelo (válvula del cerebelo, corpus del cerebelo, eminencia granular y lóbulo caudal). Así, se determinaron los diferentes núcleos pretectales que conectan tanto con el cerebelo como con el techo óptico. En el cerebelo, las aferencias rostrales cursan a través del tracto pretecto‐cerebelar mientras que la oliva inferior, que supone la aferencia caudal principal, envía numerosas fibras cruzadas hacia la válvula cerebelar y al corpus del cerebelo. Otras aferencias importantes en el cerebelo son el núcleo lateral de la válvula, el núcleo de Edinger‐Westphal, el núcleo tegmental dorsal, el núcleo sensitivo del trigémino y el área octavolateral. En cuanto a las eferencias principales, éstas son enviadas a partir del tracto posterior del cerebelo y el brachium conjunctivum y se dirigen hacia el toro longitudinal, el área trigeminal, el lóbulo hipotalámico y la formación reticular. En el techo óptico las aferencias circulan principalmente por los tractos ópticos provenientes de la retina. Las aferencias principales se encuentran en el telencéfalo, el tálamo y el núcleo del istmo. Las fibras eferentes se desplazan a lo largo del cerebro mediante el tracto tectobulbar o, al igual que en el cerebelo, utilizan el tracto pretecto‐cerebelar. Esto da lugar a eferencias en algunos núcleos pretectales, el lóbulo hipotalámico, el núcleo tegmental dorsal y el toro semicircular. Los resultados obtenidos en el pez cebra se compararon con los de otras especies, principalmente de ciprínidos, de modo que se demostraron algunas importantes diferencias pero también homologías entre las regiones del techo óptico y del cerebelo.
