Abstract

Il progetto come luogo di sperimentazione di archetipi desunti dalla cultura del costruire toscano, valorizzandone le caratteristiche nel rispetto della tradizione, innovazione e competitività, mettendo in luce soluzioni architettoniche e tecnologiche capaci di rispondere efficacemente ai requisiti climatici e ambientali. In the framework of the research project AbitareMediterraneo, the project of Experimental Building H26 is an original experience fostering the new interdisciplinary approach in a way to experiment the innovative technologies shared properly with an architectural language and composition rules transmitted by the historical tradition.This experience allows to enhance the characteristics of Tuscany living according to the building culture in a Mediterranean climatic conditions, as well as to strength the strategic choices of technological innovation andmarket competitiveness in order to ensure high levels of environmental quality of the building organism. In a higher value of urban context in Florence, like “Ex area Fiat of Novoli,where already the planning rules defined the volume and court building typology, the interdisciplinary teamcomposed by professors of the Departments of Architecture, in collaboration with the technicians of the real estate Progenia company, proposed typological and technological solutions promoting both the improvement of the use and comfort of the living spaces, as well as higher energy performance of the building envelope and a drastic reduction of energy consumption in winter and summer season.
