Classificazione delle coperture forestali con immagini satellitari multispettrali e dati laser scanner aereo

Abstract

In questo studio è stata valutata la potenzialità del telerilevamento satellitare multispettrale e laser scanner aereo per classificare l’uso del suolo, i tipi forestali e i tipi strutturali in un’area di studio dell’Italia centrale. La procedura applicata prevede l’utilizzo di tecniche di segmentazione delle immagini telerilevate e l’impiego del metodo di classificazione Multinomial Logistic Regression. L’accuratezza complessiva della classificazione, valutata su un campione di aree test, è risultata dell’81% per l’uso del suolo, del 57% per i tipi forestali e del 71% per i tipi strutturali.
