Abstract

La cura di questa raccolta di scritti riprende, allarga e puntualizza, una serie di argomenti trattati a Firenze in occasione del convegno Spazi della Patologia Patologia degli Spazi, ideato e organizzato da Patrizia Mello presso la Facoltà di Architettura di Firenze nel 1998, con l’obiettivo di analizzare la relazione tra spazi della cura ed esigenze psicologiche dei pazienti attraverso un’analisi storico-critica dei luoghi di cura e della loro identità all’interno dello spazio urbano. I vari interventi provengono da ambiti disciplinari diversi: in particolare, psicologico, architettonico, antropologico, filosofico e sociologico. Il libro contiene una presentazione critica da parte della curatrice dei vari contributi, tra cui anche il testo della stessa curatrice intitolato: “Ammalati di spazio. Frequentazioni, ambientazioni, paradossi”.
