Accumulo di microcistina nel gambero rosso della Louisiana, Procambarus clarkii: risultati preliminari.

Abstract

A determinate condizioni ambientali (pH e temperature elevate), Microcystis può dar luogo a fioriture tossiche. La tossina prodotta, la microcistina, è un eptapeptide a basso peso molecolare, presente comunemente nella forma LR. Rilievi condotti a Massaciuccoli dall'Arpat (Simoni et al., 2004) hanno mostrato l'accumulo di microcistina nei tessuti di P. clarkii con concentrazioni superiori ai limiti imposti, evidenziando quindi la pericolosità del consumo di questa specie. Il presente studio fa parte di un progetto più ampio (Valorizzazione a scopo alimentare del gambero alloctono naturalizzato nel lago di Massaciuccoli, Procambarus clarkii), frutto della collaborazione tra l'Università di Firenze e il Ce.S.I.T. (Centro di Sviluppo Ittico Toscano) su finanziamento della Regione Toscana.
