Instabilità in fatica ad alta temperatura

Abstract

Nel lavoro sono descritti dei fenomeni di instabilità geometrica, con macroscopici cambiamenti del profilo del provino, che si sono manifestati in prove di fatica bitermica condotte sulla superlega di cobalto FSX 414, alle temperature di 450 e 950°C. Le cause sono state collegate alle particolari modalità sperimentali utilizzate ed in particolare al gradiente di temperatura assiale presente sul provino e dovuto al suo riscaldamento mediante induzione elettromagnetica. Il confronto con l’andamento della tensione di snervamento (funzione della temperatura) ha evidenziato due zone ai margini del tratto utile del campione in cui si hanno deformazioni plastiche non compensate ciclicamente. Questo può essere evitato con opportune modifiche alla geometria del provino.
