The critic of ideology and the hermeneutics represent the most important methodological outcomes of neo-marxism, on one side, and of existentialism, on the other. These philosophical views developed themselves parallelly, but avoiding a real dialog between them. Nevertheless the philosophical problems are the same in both conceptions. How is it possible to get over this impasse? According to the Author some good results could come specially from a thematic examination of Adorno’s and Heidegger’s philosophy, trying to put the philosophy of the first in relation with the philosophy of the other and viceversa. What Adorno and Heidegger never made – a serious discussion starting from different perspectives but about the same contents – appears today more and more actual.
