Stories of exiles, geographies of lives intertwined in time and space, to show how Europe, the Mediterranean and the Atlantic have been and continue to be, more than ever, interconnected worlds, distant but always closely related. They are the diasporas, the ones told, of those who abandon everything and move away to rebuild their existence elsewhere, of those who find a new beginning and hope in exile, of those who wait a long time to return home amid pain, failures and disappointments. Of many others whose wait is shattered on a foreign deathbed in the memory of their homeland now lost forever.
