Confini Immaginari

Abstract

The working hypothesis developed in this text is that of a contamination between material cultures placed at the opposites of the country in order to generate new design expressions, where the boundary is not seen as a dividing line but as a fertile territory of exchange. An experience in this direction has been developed from the DSR Laboratory in the Design School of the University of Florence: Borders and Bridges is a pilot languages through practices of cultural contamination between university students international. Work on the connections between two places (those of origin students involved) investigating the identities expressed by the elements of graphic connotation (texture, pattern, colors) and on the subsequent processing of Contamination plots then applied to the system of objects.
