Abstract

Presentation of the critical problem posed by the historiography on Allegretto Nuzi, re-examination of his Tuscan training, of the peculiarity of his contribution at a technical, stylistic, typological and iconographic level, in the framework of the dialectic between centre and periphery, as emblematic of the acculturation on mature Giottismo, in the middle of the fourteenth century. Study of the panorama of painting in Fabriano before and after Allegretto's activity, and of the influences he exerted over a wide area, between Perugia and the Adriatic coast.
