RDA : Resource Description and Access

Abstract

RDA, Resource Description and Access, is a package of data elements, guidelines and instructions for creating metadata for library resources, and cultural heritage. The new text of ET wants to give a summary account of the instrument and its evolution: a delicate operation because RDA is constantly updated, and some detailed information can change even in a short time; for this reason the authors preferred to highlight its philosophy as a standard for the description and access to resources in the digital age.
