The incunabulum testifies to the readings of its author, and the vitality of a center such as Empoli in the second half of the fifteenth century. The volume, printed in 1490 by Francesco Bonaccorsi (printer of the first printed edition of the “Convivio” di Dante) had a very wide circulation; Durazzini introduces specific references to the territory of Empoli that have so far escaped historical research.
