Abstract

Il Run Run Shaw Creative Media Centre è una struttura universitaria che fa parte della City University of Hong Kong, realizzato nel 2008 dall’architetto Daniel Libeskind in collaborazione con Arup per la parte di ingegneria strutturale, civile, meccanica, elettrica e impiantistica. L’edificio si sviluppa per una superficie di circa 24.600 mq e contiene al suo interno due teatri di posa, un teatro multiuso, sale per la registrazione, uno studio televisivo, laboratori informatici, aule per la didattica e la ricerca, spazi flessibili per eventi e mostre, tre aule per conferenze, un laboratorio elettrico, uno per la lavorazione del legno e dei metalli, uno per la realtà virtuale immersiva, tre sale di proiezione e due certificate THX, un ristorante e un bar. Il Creative Media Center ospita 2.000 studenti e 500 persone fra personale docente e staff tecnico.
