This chapter focuses specifically on the development of design competences for future EFL teachers in primary school which is considered as an essential aspect of the professionalism of teachers. In many ways, what is presented here can also be applied to in-service teachers. Indeed, good educational design, even before being implemented needs to be thought out and carefully planned by reviewing the many variables (contextual, educational, organizational, emotional, relational, etc.) that accompany the teaching-learning process and the teacherlearner educational relationship.
