Abstract

The article deals with the characteristics of main trends of children mortality in the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) in 1999-2008. The regional characteristics of children mortality are established and its main causes are analysed. The package of scientifically grounded measures is proposed to decrease children mortality in the region.
