Abstract

The objective of this work is to analyze the transformation process of the National Workers University (UON) in the period immediately after the coup that removed Perón, with special emphasis on the tensions generated around the concept of "university", and of the university hierarchy of this institution. To account for this, we will make a brief exposition of the objections that the reformist deputies presented in the parliamentary chamber in 1948, on the occasion of the enactment of the law that gave rise to the UON in order, on this basis, to analyze the reforms developed in a Peronism was overthrown in 1955. Finally, we will see to what extent these transformations managed to reverse those objections made about the university hierarchy of the UON, in the parliamentary debates of the law that sanctions the autarky to this institution. The methodology used is the documentary analysis of various official and institutional sources.
