
The advantages of digital mammography have been reported and debated for decades. In recent years, most U.S. breast imaging centers have added or planned to add a digital mammography unit for screening and diagnosing breast cancer. Adding digital imaging capability or transitioning to all-digital image acquisition introduces changes in practice and workflow that affect radiologists, radiologic technologists and patients.
