Ondas te en medios saturables no lineales

Abstract

We show that universal V- b diagrams provide a powerful too! when analysing the stationary properties of the TE waves guided by a thin film bounded by a saturable nonlinear substrate or cladding. Relevant information for device design purposes is summarized on a few diagrams, so general waveguiding properties can be iumedi a.tely rea.d off from them. Qualitative information concerniug both the guided power aud the stability of guided waves is also iucluded in the . diagrams.
