Abstract

La cuidada traducción al castellano de los Entretiens sur l’architecture de Eugène Emmanuel Viollet-le-Duc realizada recientemente nos ha acercado un texto influyente y polémico de la segunda mitad del siglo XIX. Un escrito donde el autor reflexiona acerca del estatuto de la arquitectura en relación al arte, la técnica, la historia y la enseñanza de la arquitectura. El artículo rastrea la génesis del libro, vinculándolo con la biografía y el pensamiento de Viollet; según Sir John Summerson unos de los faros de la arquitectura moderna.
